trg Vehicle Hire, a mature, low-growth vehicle rental business, had recently been acquired by a new owner who wished to develop it.
Robert Stead from The Marketing Centre was brought in to reposition and re-brand the business to differentiate it from the mass of small rental companies, and global chains. This involved installing structured business generation processes, driving growth through customer acquisition and opening new branches.
First the business was re-branded around a quirky and distinctive animal theme. The website was renewed in line with the re-brand, and a detailed understanding of the customer base led to a structured business generation process.
The distinctive re-branding led directly to new business, with trg Vehicle Hire developing an ongoing intrinsic value that is clearly differentiated in the marketplace.
